Meet Dewsy, an incredible painter of canvas and concrete and the Craftsource x Poynton Studios creative resident for the month of October.

During his time here, Chris finished two big pieces for his exhibition 'Rite to Imagine' held at Silo Park. The exhibition explores a utopian Tamaki, reimagining of what this city could look like with a revived Waihorotiu stream and a fresh approach to current climate and infrastructure challenges. Someone once described it as Solarpunk, which is pretty apt even if Chris wont label it himself.

What followed was a wild month of painting and mischief, with Dewsy fitting into the fold from day one. He ended up moving into the studio full time to continue his work, returning for a new exhibition series of plein air paintings.
